Venja Hywell Caldwell

I am Irish & Welsh from Clann Caldwell in Donegal, Ireland. I was born in Santa Cruz, California and have been an artist since I was 9 years of age. I got into graffiti tagging at the age of 13 when I ran away from an abusive home and began living on the streets.

I lived a crazy life as a tagger, skater, surfer, snowboarder and bmx'er, but it was the uncontrolled adrenaline and drug addictions in 2000, that lead to losing everything for 9 years. After getting clean & changing my life, I got custody of 2 of my kids and was a single father for the next 8 years. I had my first kid at 14 years of age and my 5th kid at 41. 

I have lived a hundred lives in this lifetime it seems, & have since then owned & operated a successful Professional Moving Company that has gone nationwide in 36 states, Clothing & Skateboard brand, became an Author & Music Artist as well as full time Conent Creator for NEVER GIVE UP & Fightdepression.net. I am currently a single father again with 26 years without fast food & soda. 18 years without meth, coke & lsd. 15 years without cigarettes & chew. 4.5 years without alcohal. My only addictions now are art, music, adrenaline sports and espresso's!!

In 2016, I fractured my face, deviated both septum's, & cracked 3 of my front teeth while surfing a 15 foot wave when my board hit me in the face & almost drown. The concussion and injury took me almost 3 months before I got back in the water.

I NEVER GAVE UP & likewise with other injuries, abuse, emotions, stress, trauma, loss of loved ones, financial hardships etc. You cant let it break you & you have to find your inner light, your determination and fortitude is waiting to rise up & keep you going! Humans were created to be indomitable because change is the only constant. The 4 Seasons are a reminder that like our emotions and everything else we experience in this life, it is temporary and will change when it is time. This is how I know....

On July 8th 2026, I found out my 29 year old son Christian Caldwell aka NOBLE Gsix, lost his battle with depression, trying to fight it alone and ended his life. This put me through one of the deepest depressions I have ever battled & I have battled it without any drugs or alcohal! there are no substances that can remedy this kind of depression, only one's inner light and fortitude of will can alleviate this with perseverance of love of life!

This is why I created NEVER GIVE UP, in memorial of my Son, to encourage and help others to NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I love and miss my son more than words can express and I wouldn't wish this upon even my past enemies! All the memories and moments I cherish, & although my heart, body and mind is hurting in ways I cant explain, I know he reincarnated. May he be blessed with a better life, stronger family dynamic, far greater self esteem & self worth!!! He was and is an awesome soul with cool style & hilarious humor, a mad hatter indeed!!

So in honor of my Son & NEVER GIVE UP, I will not let the demon of depression defeat me, nor let the loss of my son dim my light! I will honor him & be here for the rest of my kids and others as I walk this path & dedicate my time to this purpose!
